If you’ve seen the feature movies Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Rings, Thor Ragnarok and Aquaman chances are you’ve seen some of Sorj’s costume fabrication and specialty armour.

Sorj is the Head of our Soft Fabrication department where his skills shine as he crafts fabrics, foams and plastics into inspired creatures and costumes. Sorj has been with the team since 2017 and in addition to his previous work on feature films has experience in music videos, large events and theatre. He also previously worked with the Creature Technology Company on the Socchi Winter Olympics and now Tony award winning Broadway show, King Kong.

Sorj is passionate about fashion and costume design, discovering new materials or new applications for existing materials to create unusual effects. He is half Maori and half Scottish and can imitate almost any accent, just ask!
