The Playground a new creative hub, created by A Blanck Canvas.

It is our new performance space, where we will regularly host all-age workshops, events, performances and rehearse any new giant and wonderful puppets or shows.

It is also a hub for the puppetry and performance industry, and available to hire for your own creative avenues.

Unfortunately not. All tickets must go through our online booking system, which will be opened until 19:00 May 15th 2021. This is apart of our COVID safety plan, and helps our front of house staff safely and efficiently get everyone through the doors, avoiding large queues.

Enter through the signed entryway next to Seaworks Maritime Precinct at 82 Nelson Place, Williamstown.

You can catch the Williamstown Line and get off at Williamstown (600m walk from venue). Alternatively free parking is available on Nelson Place and Ann Street.

Doors open at 5:40PM, so don’t be late,  entertainment starts at 6:00pm.

Sure is! Puppet Mayhem is an all ages event, which includes shows and acts every age can enjoy.

No, we will have 3 main stages at the event, including 2 indoor stages and 1 outdoor stage.

As much as we love dogs, they are not allowed into this event.  Seeing eye dogs are permitted. 

Yes! There will be some delicious hot food available, including vegetarian options. We are proud to be supporting local food vendors from within the Hobsons Bay area. If you have any questions regarding your own dietary requirements, please email the Event organiser at admin@ablanckcanvas.com

Absolutely! Our favourite on-site pub; The Pirates Tavern will be open serving drinks all night, as well as hosting some of our great performers on their own stage.

There will be multiple roving performances, live music and exhibitions between shows. The shows will run anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes in length, which will include back-to-back puppet-slam variety shows. Your ticket gives you access to all of this!

Puppet Mayhem is supporting local artists, makers, performers, choreographers, puppeteers, aerial specialists, comedians, Melbourne youth workshops, musicians and DJ’s as well as our backstage crew.

A Blanck Canvas is is presenting Puppet Mayhem, with the support of Hobsons Bay City Council, Seaworks Maritime Precinct and The Pirates Tavern. There will be many indpendant artists that will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Yes, we are working within the guideline of the Victorian Government and the Department of Health to deliver a COVID-Safe event for visitors, artists and staff. Check out our COVID safe plan here.

Unfortunately we do not issue refunds for change of mind. Any refunds given are at the discretion of the Event Organiser.

Seaworks Maritime Precinct has recently been upgraded and is up to International standards when it comes to accessibility. 

Yes, we do accept companion cards. Please contact admin@ablanckcanvas.com if you require tickets free of charge.

Yes! You can take photos. However no flash photography is allowed.
