In July 2024, A Blanck Canvas had the privilege of transforming a TLC for Kids ambulance into a whimsical, cartoon-style submarine. TLC for Kids, Australia’s leading children’s charity, has been providing relief and support to sick children and their families since 1998.

It was an honor to contribute to such a meaningful cause, creating an enchanting underwater world within the ambulance. Our director, Joe Blanck, meticulously designed the layout to align with TLC for Kids’ colors and vision. The A Blanck Canvas team worked collaboratively to bring the design to life, incorporating interactive elements for the children, such as 3D-printed gadgets, laser-cut dials, and tech components. The interior was hand-painted using a variety of materials, including enamel, latex paint, and oil-based pens, with custom-carved PVC window and monitor covers, color-matched vinyl windows, and an interactive console for children to enjoy.

In 2025, TLC Ambulance 2 was created! Featuring the same theme but with a fresh look, this new version boasts beautiful pink, blue, and grey tones that blend seamlessly with the interior. The interior is filled with even more hand-painted details, gadgets, and gizmos, enhancing the cartoon-inspired design from the first ambulance.
